Magic Corner

I was at a math conference most of last week and had little time to post photos, let a lone go out and take any photos.  Since it has been very hot and dry here (like it seems to be everywhere these days) I decided to get up early yesterday morning and go downtown (Louisville, KY).  I saw this awesome clock on the corner next to the Brown hotel.  Two of the sides say “Brown Hotel” on the sign above the clock and the other two sides say “Magic Corner”.  I’m not sure what it so “magic” about that corner, so I guess I’m going to have to do a little research…

This flower was definitely over the hill and on its way toward becoming a seed head, but it looked so interesting that I couldn’t help but snap a photo.  I hope I look this good or am at least this interesting when I get over the hill (which is only in 2 more years!)

Double Crossed

Thought these pods hanging on the trees made for an interesting capture.  I love the color and intensity of this photo.

Yellow Worlds

These are tiny little yellow flowers that I captured while at Farmington.  Looking at them through the macro lens they look less like flowers and more like tiny yellow worlds.

Farmington historic plantation has recently bought a log building and reassembled it on their property.  These are the doorways for the building.
